Police They really didn't like his black ass

saw this on the news. the governor of n.y. is ordering the firing of 14 personnel. even those who were just "bystanders".
this is fucked up because now the family will more than likely sue the state, and win because of overwhelming evidence in the situation. and guess what... the tax payers will have to foot that bill. is that fair? not really. but you know what would be fair though? have the money be taken out of these cops pensions. they need to pay for their mistakes. not the public. the public always pays the price for these cops wrong doings. it needs to stop.
this guy was cuffed with his hands behind his back and his feet chained too. you want to beat the guy is one thing. but for 15 mins straight while the guy is restrained? makes it a harder case for the cops to win. what you dont see either is,what did this guy do. it was his first day there as a prisoner. he was doing 12 yrs for stabbing his girlfriend.

It makes me lose all faith in the system, not like I had much before anyway
I def think it's fair firing most of the people involved, and send their asses to prison, that's murder 100%.
I can't even imagine what he did so badly (other than stab his girl) to get this kind of treatment

other than the stabbing, idk either. maybe this guy is a frequent flyer and had problems with him in the past and figured theyd "nip it in the bud"? idk. thats not being said. also, theres no video of the incident before they walked into the facility. why did they carry him like that in the first place? this guy not want to cooperate and this is how the cops had to get the guy in? we need to see the whole thing to make proper judgement, imo.

There's another video that's 16 mins long but again it doesn't show what happened prior, I thought prisons all had security cameras, that's what they need to release! I'd like to see that

if its going to be more incriminating than the body cam, then those cameras were broken or turned off for reasons unknown.
but it seems legit though. lol
They also could of been in a dead zone from the cameras on "accident"

There is a lot more video, posted by the Office of the New York State Attorney General, which shows more angles, and a couple of them show the initial incident occuring outside the building.
We should also remember that these guys are prison guards - NOT policemen or municipal cops.

makes things worse is theyre all white officers

makes things worse is theyre all white officers
So of course it's a hate crime as well
Either way, no matter if dude was black, white or purple officers, corrections or otherwise, need to act professionally, they can't let emotions or whatever may have happened get in their way! I wish there was sound on those body cams, maybe it could shed a bit more light on the situation? I'm sure that was all on purpose tho

I been wondering the same things. I might add that the revolving door of NY criminal justice sysem doesn't help. Maybe he stabbed a prison guard? Or another inmate? Who knows. Maybe he had it coming.

another reason why that luigi mangione is in seg unit. because the prison system sucks.
I just tried to get some back story on Robert Brooks. Evidently he was incarcerated in 2016 for stabbing his girlfriend which he was sentened to 12 years. The officers involved were already involved in lawsuits against them. for running a beatup ring.

yea one dude was involved in an altercation back in 2020. hes yet to go to court for that. hes a defendant. i guess he will be found guilty now because of this incident. kinda hard to ignore this one,if your gunna be a juror for the 2020 case. let alone a juror for this case, because of the 2020 case. that officer is screwed!
also, who was this chick? she have any kind of law enforcement connection somewhere down the line? for this to happen?

It looks like to me these corrections officers were into beating inmates randomly according to claimaints in the lawsuit.

According to what I read, this has been happening for a while to multiple inmates over the years.
