accident Two ejected in crash

These acrobats may have walked away with scratches and maybe a broken limb or two of they had taken the time to buckle up.

Decelerating over the course of a few hundred feet while rolling over keeps the G forces down and makes for a survivable crash. The sudden deceleration of hitting concrete from 25’ up while doing 40-50 mph doesn’t.

People need to read the instruction manual…

I had a very good cheerleader friend who died on the way home from a Dallas mall BECAUSE she couldn't get out of a burning car which was hit by a drunk driver. Her mother also died for the same reason. Happened near Anna, Texas on Hwy 121 in the summer of 1985. ( Jennifer Whisenhunt , Bonham High School cheerleader and her mother...R.I.P. ) The sister survived with severe burns.

I think the statistics are pretty clear that seat belts save lives. I've worked in ICU (social worker) and have seen the seat belt bruises on chests and abdomens. The forces required to do that would see the person right out through the windscreen each time.

Alas for your friend though.

There is a sociological saying that goes some thing like "I have no idea what a single person will do, but give me a hundred and I'll tell you every time..."

Seatbelts were to blame...I forgot to say.
