US deports record number of undocumented immigrants
The United States deported 392,000 undocumented immigrants during the last year, of which 195,000 had some kind of criminal record, Janet Napolitano announced yesterday. 31% of these committed serious crimes such as murder and rape, and another 44% were arrested for lesser crimes such as robbery or drug dealing / sales.
71% of the deported were Mexican citizens.
This is the most deportations within a 12-month period in the history of the United States, and part of a new plan of Obama's government to fortify internal national security.
Now the right has something good to say about this administration.
