Well you aren’t going to belive this but it’s true. I looked to see, early in the war, if they have an “International Brigades” and they do but you have to have military experience and I don’t so I can’t go.

Yeah, it's a joke isn't it, what this lot don't realize is that the 4 states Putin wants is the richest in agriculture & minerals (funny that), it also has all the deep water ports for shipping (funny that) which would leave Ukraine 1 or 2 ports & a coastline of cliffs for shipping, basically, beggaring the country AND give Russia unfettered access to the sea of Azov, which should make Turkey nervous, unless it wants to kiss Russian arse.
Tactically it would be a massive gain for Russia & this was the whole ballgame right from the beginning, I suppose, to Putin, it's worth all the lives he took.

Yes this is insane and what I particularly hate is that Putin and the Kremlin’s and Russian state tv propaganda has rotted so far into America. As the a lot of the people of this site demonstrate.
I don’t see how Ukraine doesn’t join NATO too after this because that’s the only way they will be safe from further invasion and rape of the country.

This is what makes it more insidious, you cannot join NATO while you have a war on your borders, the war in Donbas kept them from joining, Crimea was annexed as well, Zelensky was going to make efforts to close that shit-show down, opening the way to NATO, guess who kept it kicking along, we have pics here of Russian troops being killed there, when it looked like slowing down up pops the Special Military Operation, to de-Nazify Ukraine of course, NOT an invasion making sure other countries wouldn't respond & then Putin 'claims' those 4 regions, slimy as all fuck, now he wants Ukraine to ratify those areas as Russian & he'll stop the SMO, how just & fair

No Russia shouldn’t be in NATO and they don’t want to join. The Russian political class want to be independent, it wants to lead an alliance, not join ours. Also i dont want them in our alliance. Im uncomfortable with a country like Turkey being in it, with what their leadership does. No I want NATO to be an alliance of democracies, western countries (they don’t have to be in the west).
This is one Trump policy I was and am for, he reversed a lot do the Obama detente with Cuba which I thought was was the wrong move by Obama. We should open our arms to them unless the regime stops being such an oppressive one party state. We don’t need one more dictatorship we are embracing. We need to reverse that policy, and we did in Iraq which is one reason why I was for removing Saddam.
Anyway, See we thought if we liberalized the economy of China and started trading that it would liberalize politically. That was the theory. That didn’t happen. Human rights and democracy was crushed by the Communist Party and culminated in this:

I don’t want us to repeat those mistakes with Cuba. Hold elections and then we will open up to you. Of course we should send food and medicine and that kind of thing to help the people and show them we dont have the problem with them. But not like we did with China which was to make them rich and as you said and know, nominally allied with Putin in his fiasco. Interestingly though there is Chinese military in Belarus as well. The thing that I think connects them is they are one party states that don’t believe in Enlightenment ideas like free expression and other concept like genuine separation of powers. Anyway China wants to take and annex Taiwan. Just as Putin is trying to do with Ukraine. They are connected by those things but they aren’t as strong an ally as they look I guess.

This is bullshit. If Ukraine wanted a peace deal they would have signed one.
Australians died in a far a way land called France do defeat Nazism. Australians died in the Spanish civil war fighting Fascist Spain. That Australian died fight again fascistic aggression, really a unique to Russia kind of aggression. A lot of what they do can be traced back to the Soviet era and before. But anyway it’s worth fighting against as the other things I mentioned were. Also not only is it worth fighting but it has to be fought.
