No sir, war on drugs is war on communism ... all your drugs or at least the most lethal in present day come through communist China in the form of fentanyl equivalents to bypass export restrictions which are then "reconstituted" or made into fentanyl. War on drugs if you think about it that US is facing has it's roots in the Opium Wars during the peak of British empire. In it, Indian troops(under British rule) forced China to accept Opium in the name of free trade at its major ports in exchange for Chinese national treasure mostly silver destroying their sovereignty , economy, and national morale. China teaches it in its schools as a century of humiliation and though not open about it they are incredibly resentful of US as it is seen as a successor to British imperialism at least since end of World War 2.

Here is a resource to understand how the average guy in US has become over the years demoralised. Your enemies never stopped. They have an ideology and most of the issues US is facing are internal in present day more so than anytime since World War 2 . Two of your cities are burning , mobs routinely threaten decent people. Universities have become hotbeds of radicalism. Common people are ashamed of their army. Veterans seem demoralised and underappreciated. War seems pointless and ever more difficult to initiate. NATO allies are openly supporting opposing interest.
