You need a dog's written consent to put them down. You also need them to sign an accompanying Do Not Resuscitate order. Both of these will protect you in case you are sued for Wrongful Death by any of the canine's remaining family members.

Ok so when i met my husband and first went over his house for the first time, I met Beau. He is a mini Australian shepherd .
Beau has always been aggressive if he doesnt know you he will attack you ...he hates men and never accepted anyone except me my husband mother in law and grandma ...does that mean he isnt aggressive towards us?fuck no .This motherfucker resource gaurds like a motherfucker ..and i mean EVERYTHING from food to people to anything you drop..i have so many scars from him and so does everyone in this fucking house..my deepest one is on my right tit ..i have this mini xolo dog named drax ..i got him earlier this year and he is not even a year old yet...beau has made drax his bitch ..i cant pet or feed my dog around him or he will attack me or if he is in the pen he will attack my dog ...today he attacked me for trying to take a sock away from my dog ...beaus eyes go pitch black and it almost looks like he is posseessed my mother in law always defends him for being insecure n shit ..i disscussed months ago getting him trained or something because he attacked grandma and she had a huge deep hand wound that took weeks to months to heal but why cant we do that ?it cost money and most of what we make goes towards the house and providing for ourselves ..at times i want to call someone to get that demon dog hauled away but fear being thrown out too for getting rid of her dog ...i dont need my dog to pick up this behavior ..he already does bratty shit SOMETIMES but doesnt attack like beau does ...idk what to do and i just wanna vent ..sometimes id like to take him out myself ..i think that dog is actually retarded and has some fucked up wiring and has the worse case of little man syndrome ...for a medium dog ..fucker got both my hands and my stupid fucking mother in law taking forever to grab his meters long leash ..her and my husband are fucking useless when it comes to ripping that stupid fuck from off of any of us ..like you stupid cunt he is distracted by my fucking skin and the leash reaches the other half of the room ..this is why sometimes im annoyed with suburban white people ..us mexicans are more strict with our fucking dogs no professional training required and if a dog is a bad dog we know when and what to do because how tf you gonna keep a dog around if you cant even get him under control or provide it shit ...One call is needed but i feel like they would know its me since its just us who interact with him..i dont need beau seriously injuring someone or my dog ..but noooo "he is only an asshole when *enter excuse for being a shitty dog owner*"

Here tis. A dog is a pack animal, its must have and needs an alpha in that group. Now that alpha is easily you or husband if you act like it. If you both pussies then the dog will assume the role and only 1 in 50 are capable,thats when you get tthe shit head behaivour. So next time it launches its self smother it hard and down on the ground, the most dominate position is hold very very tight its nexk fur above sholder blades and twist pushing the dog down hard and fast. It may try to have a go but if you hold on tight no problem and growl like ya fuckin mean it yelling the same command even a NO !!!!. Any time that dog puts a foot outta place do this. You will quickly beome the Alpha pack boss and the dog will start behaving. Be form, consistant and very forcefull but dont beat the shit outta it or you all lose. Hope this helps, worked for me on a bitch I had. She just needed a boss and wasnt skilled enough to take the role.

...there is a BIG difference between an alpha dog and a REACTIVE dog.

My family has raised champion Chihuahuas since BEFORE I arrived (and we're whites, not mexis), umm, it's NOT hard. In fact, people bring us "unsavable" Chi's and then see them a year layer, well behaved and will ACTUALLY sit. And are amazed. (they'll sit for a couple seconds anyway).
Start early and use a SINGLE sheet of rolled up paper when they're young for discipline, NEVER hurts them, BUT gets their attention. Biting and anti-social gets THE worse POSSIBLE punishment, for a Chi, segregation, they HATE that more than anything, and no interaction except for potty training until they're HAPPY to behave.
It's NOT hard....
