A man identified as Ithalo d.S.N., 25, was killed by military police during a stop after leaving a convenience store at a gas station in Aracaju, Sergipe state, on Monday night (28).

CCTV footage showed the police officers refuelling their motorbikes, when Ithalo slowly walked past while looking at them. When one of the officers went to speak to him, Ithalo reached into his pocket, before running towards the officers.

One of the officers fired a shot, and Ithalo died at the scene. A cell phone and some pieces of plastic were found on Ithalo's body. His family noted that he suffered from anxiety and depression.
