A woman identified as Adriana Mendes da Silva, aged 32, died after being run over by a truck on the BR-116, in Curitiba, Paraná, in the early afternoon of this Wednesday. She was riding a motorcycle to her new residence in Fazenda Rio Grande, in the Metropolitan Region, where she had just bought a house and was in the process of moving.
Adriana was driving the motorcycle and was carrying a 35-year-old passenger, who was seriously injured. The group was carrying two small dogs in boxes and was rescued by the Fire Department. Even with injuries to his arms and legs, he remained conscious and is not at risk of death.
According to witnesses, the motorcycle was trying to overtake along the highway, near the Tatuquara neighborhood. During the maneuver, Adriana lost control, fell and was thrown under a truck that was following close behind.
