I don't know how work the law exactly in case like that in US but I think she should have said nothing when she meet the police and just get a lawyer if she can afford it, but in case not she just should have denied it because its her words against another so if they can't prove anything she still not guilty of anything.

If you watch the video above that I posted, she has a long history of sexual promiscuity and in this case all she got was a misdemeanor.
