Your favorite fps game

For multiplayer nothing beats goldeneye on n64 and sticking proximity mines in vents or playing as that midget fuck so your drunk friends bullets went straight over your head.

For single player probably call of duty 1 singleplayer that was a "holy fuck" moment (that stalingrad landing yo) considering I didn't try much but doom and quake prior to that.

Blood 2 is a good game, the voice actor is badass. I wish Monolith keeped on making FPS games but instead they're stuck making LOTR and Batman games for Warner. If Monolith had only stayed independent we would have saw Blood 3, a better sequel to FEAR and Shogo 2. :( Shame.
As much as I wanted to enjoy Blood 2, I have to say it's miles away in terms of quality and gameplay from the original. But Lith had to jump on the 3D engine bandwagon of the late '90s or else they would stay far behind in terms of sales, and rushed the hell out of it.....
Granted, Blood 2 has tons of weapons (which is great) but lacks the whole feel of the game. the atmosphere, the earth shattering 'splosions, the level design...

Let's face it, the future of the FPS is uncertain. Most major devs of great golden-era FPS franchises have been absorbed by the [currentyear] retardation of e-begging, working on either half-assed projects on cuckstarter (see romero's cancelled blackout) or on rainbow colored casual candy crush shit and finally turning to multiplayer only games like kike bleszinsky's latest turd called lawbreakers.

It's not all lost though, even some AAA titles like DX: Mankind divided show some promise.

Blood 2 is my first game of the series, I've never played Blood 1 but I am aware of it before I played Blood 2. Blood 2's world is forgettable, mostly because of the aged graphics and well, lack of story. The only saving grace of its memorability is Caleb himself, his voice is badass and character design is something out of a character from Preacher(Comic). But yeah, I can understand you not enjoying Blood 2 compared to Blood 1, to each their own.

Unless you're a PC gamer, you don't have that much to worry about them in terms of library, the only game that seems interesting to me in this point in time is this game, which I'm sure you probably heard of.

Yeah yeah, it's another dull looking military themed shooter but the mechanics, sound design and level of detail of this game looks pretty sick especially the weapon customization.

Get blood 1 (gog edition). Youre in for a treat.

I wouldn't waste a second more to grab that game, if it wasn't multiplayer only... The aim, movement and bank mechanics look very solid, it may even have the highest quality of modelling so far for an FPS... Its got the slavic s.t.a.l.k.e.r. feels... It just doesnt have SP.. damn.

what's with that motion blur shit they put in FPS games now days when you spin fast, fuck that is some god awful shit. Same goes with "dirt" in my vision or some whack camera effect when some shit goes down. My eyeballs are not made by Kodak, they don't do these things.

I'm also tired of this trend of lens flares, over saturated/exposed colors, and everything having an LED type glow.

Blood, The new DOOM, all of the Serious Sam games, COD: WAW, Quake 3, Unreal Tournament, and maybe the 2008 Wolfenstein.

Honorable mentions should go to:
  • Duke Nukem 3D
  • Postal 2
Both had terrible graphics but the gameplay makes that a minor inconvenience on the eyes.
