Female Facial Piercings...Do Women Do It For Men, Or For Other Women?

As a woman who has been heavily pierced and who has worked as a piercer for years, it's my informed opinion that women like to get facial piercings for the approval of neither gender, but because they appreciate how facial piercings look. I'm not allowed many now, due to my job, but there are still a few I'd love to have back and that's just because I think they're pretty.

I also think @Bloody Kisses is absolutely gorgeous and how she chooses to jazz up her natural beauty is her business. The medusa/septum/labret combo she has going on there really enhances her lips, imo. Good piercing is an art form.

If it's not your thing, @Ward Cleaver, then tough titties for you. It must be bad for the old amygdala to so often find yourself immensurably aggrieved by the benign choices of others.

Are you telling me I have a use for my art degree now?

Clearly I have gotten under your skin, that’s good enough for me.
I think it’s kinda gay to care that much about what other people wear and choose to do with their bodies. I enjoy how piercings look on my face and I don’t care if people have the same piercings because it looks different on every face, besides, people with face piercings are fun.
Looks like you gave him his first piercing by getting under his skin. Where do you think you pierced? LOL

I personally know of two young women who have piercings on their facial area.

One of them is a neighbor across the street and one house over.
She has a piercing through her left eyebrow.

I occasionally encounter her when we're walking our dogs, and we'll stop and exchange pleasantries with each other.
She's in her mid-30's, is married, and is a nice girl...but the stud through her left eyebrow somewhat annoys me, and I find it distracting and needless...and a detraction from her overall persona.

The second young woman works where I work.
She's in her late 20's, has a long-term live-in boyfriend, and is also a very nice girl...but she has a piercing to one side of her upper lip.
Again, I find her facial piercing to be annoying and distracting...and I believe it detracts from her overall persona.

From across a room, it appears that she might have an unsightly mole on one side of her upper lip...but when you get closer to her, you realize that it's a lip piercing with an unsightly stud through her upper lip.

Now, since both of these young women have "significant others" at home, I can logically conclude that they don't have facial piercings to impress or attract men.

Thus, my logical conclusion is that women engage in this tom-foolery and defacement of themselves in an attempt to impress other women.

We’re just mentally ill honestly
