Goregrish: The Antithesis of ‘Social Media’?

goreguy27

Death’s Picasso
Goregrish, while being a form of social media, is a very different experience to the typical forms. I came here to see gore, but what I found was so much more.

I hate superficial, vain sites like Instagram; leftist liberal super hubs like Twitter; and menial influencer platforms like TikTok. It feels like social media is a clone factory and everyone is trying to be the same thing, yet we are all so different. It’s the pretending that bothers me.

I feel a lot of anxiety & stress when using social media sites because of the constant pressure that it creates, to live up to a standard that does not even exist. This experience leaves me exhausted.

Here, I see the raw, unfiltered reality of life. It cuts straight through the bullshit. I watch gore videos to ease my mind and it makes me feel content. I use gore as a type of therapy. Only through watching human beings at their most animalistic can I invest in the truth. It gives knowledge & power.

And the people I have met in the forums and the conversations I have had provide me with serenity. Here are real people, with real personalities & their honest opinions. Even when people are being horrible it feels so refreshing. Finally, the truth. Insults, which are supposed to be uncomfortable, feel like blessings. I would take being insulted a thousand times over someone pretending to be nice. Embrace your whole self, even the darkest parts — that’s what makes us human.

Well you obviously haven’t crossed roads with the more fucked up around here. They’re lurking, waiting for you to have a vulnerable moment. Watch your jugular.

Just kidding. People here are pretty cool and I totally understood what you were saying.

You can certainly be yourself here unlike with Facebook. Do be prepared to feel like you're dipped into a pool of piranhas, though. If you share your personal life looking for advice, you are actually talking to some majorly fucked up people in here. They are miserable and need to project. Don't let that stop you, though, because you really can get some good advice in here too. Just pull out the weeds, mate!
