Innocent Soul
Glorifying dangerous individuals and their actions make some people desire to become better versions of infamous criminals such as Ted Bundy or the Columbine Shooters. Sometimes, such copycats commit crimes for the sole purpose of being famous.
Today, the print and the news try to hide the criminals' names and focus on the victims, at least for the first few hours after the reported crime happened.
Imagine that the victims start getting as much attention as the criminals.
Will some people be retarded enough to become victims for fame, following the logic that copycats follow sacrificing their lives to become criminals, therefore becoming famous? Personally, I feel like it's already happening, especially on the social network that I can't mention unless I want to be sued. I'm sure that you all know what I'm talking about.
Another question is: what's the solution to this problem? Should the media stop "promoting" dangerous activities or should they just change the way they talk about delicate topics? Are the media even the main motivation for people to commit crimes for fame?
And... Why so many people want to be famous in such a ugly and useless way? (I say useless because if you're dead, you surely won't enjoy your fame, and if you're not, you'll be hated unless your criminal actions were fighting against a wrong of the system)
