can you remember your introduction to gore? I saw the statement in a previous thread and it got me thinking

I was about 13 and finding this in the metal section of the local record store... mia my buddies made several trips just to see the cover and inlay art... Until the front counter doosh removed it from the rack lol.

I had the last batch of DMCA complaints reversed when I changed some text around, you can't claim copyright on gore pics anyway.

The first ever gore video was that Unknown Russian Soldier, with the boot over his head. I remember hearing that cutting, his guttural yells, as the knife cut deeper in to his throat, the executioner did a nice job of cutting above the larynx. Then it was that other Chechen one, the one where the dude is getting interviewed by chechen rebels out on a field, gets shot in the arm/hand, then the dude just cuts his head off.

I started watching alot of b movies with really bad special effects and moved up to the faces of death movies. Then around in 96 or 97 I came across Rotten.com then later on Ogrish... then UR and now I am here.

The first truly gory situation I saw was when I was about five or six I watched a woman jump off the bridge I was crossing on the way to school, the thing that stands out in my mind to this day was the foam from her mouth, first video was faces of death around the same time, never sheltered from reality I suppose. First real gore I've seen was when I was deployed to Kabul in 2010 and a group of marines were ambushed by hostile forces and me and my team had to transport the wounded and dead.
