Ambulance picks up the kid, despite all odds the kid survives, he finally walks agin after five agonizing years of intense physical therapy. First day out of leg crutches he steps on an American landmine, legs blown off. Survives, ten years go by, finally gets out of coma and walking on his new prosthetic legs. Walks outside, falls down an open storm drain and gets ravaged by crocodiles. Survives. Fifteen years later, after new intestines and prosthetic willy installed, wakes from coma. Leaves the hospital. He expects something bad will happen again. Looks up cautiously when a micro-asteroid whizzes straight through his skull. Doctors already standing by outside, push his brain back in his skull. Wakes up from coma 50 years later. Vietnam is now a 1st world country and is number 1 economy in the world. He is 85 years old. Walks out of the hospital surounded by robot nurses with lasers protecting him. He is now more machine than man. Walks into the street and is hit by a truck, the truck is destroyed and he keeps walking because he's now a robot impervious to injury. Laughs in triumph. Lightning bolt strikes him, circuits fried. His smoldering metal body is brought to a machine shop. Wakes up many years later, Vietnam is a desolate wasteland. Not a human in sight. He's the last man left alive on Earth. He puts a gun to his head and fires, bullet bounces off his titanium skull. He is invincible.
