Serious What's the best personal good luck you've ever experienced?

I was walking to my car from the grocery store and right on the ground outside my drivers door was a wallet. I opened it and it had 30 $100 bills but nothing else, no id,dl nothing🤔 I sat there for about 30 minutes and nobody showed up, no cars parked around me so I left with it 👍 Several days later I asked the manager if anyone reported a missing wallet and he said not in the last month:D I was about 27 so I spent it on weed and meth 😂👍

I have shit luck.. back in 2019 I got bad sick with heart issues.. another deputy found me in my patrol car completely lifeless he dragged me out began CPR. I woke up 2 days later in Nashville TN with a LVAD (google it) so now I’m currently waiting for a heart transplant… I’m on a time limit cause LVADs don’t last forever.. but I know I’m not gonna live forever and I’m ok with that.. but hopefully can get a heart and enjoy more years with my wife and watch my kids grow up..
‘hope for the best’

Been there done that and nearly died, I was lucky, I used anything and everything, (except jenkum) for 6 years, went homeless thought it was liberating for the first year then fuck fuck fuckety fuck it got shitty and a hassle trying to figure out where i was going in life so i quit everything and got my shit back together again. Life's too short to spend it all chasing drugs and junkie pussy.

Great job! Keep it up!

Luckily I’ve never done hard drugs. Just THC which I have a medical card for. But it’s legal here so I get to claim it as a medical expense on my taxes.

When I was like 9-10 I used to put goggles on in the wave pool at a waterpark near my home town and look for money that came out of peoples pockets. Found a Benny one time but when I showed my dad he took it away. I still hate that guy.

You reminded me of when I was 13 years old, I worked for a friend in a workshop and he paid me with 3 gasoline engines for RC airplanes and with the money I collected from birthday gifts, etc. I managed to build 3 airplanes with those engines. I went to some land that was near an air base to fly the planes, an adult came up to me, told me that he saw my planes, that the engines I have were race engines (I had no idea) and offered me a fortune for buying them so I sold them to him. (I remember that the equivalent was a month of my dad's full income...)

I return home happy with the money and I remember that my mother was ironing, I told her about the money that i had won and she told me "That's a lot of money for someone as young as you, you can't have it" and after said that she took the money away...

So, no engines, no planes and no more money. I learned my lesson (Never again tell my parents how much money I have...)

Damn, that sucks! Were they OS engines by chance? I used to fly RC helis and before electrics became reliable and affordable, all of mine had .90 OS engines. Damn, I miss the smell of nitromethane.

I don't think most people comprehend exactly how complex RC helis are, and what can be done with them:

What I do remember is that those engines were 0.49

Kinda this one:

They just had some modifications (according to the person who bought it from me) which made them more performant for racing. I was only 13 years old, I didn't have much idea, and I built the airplanes with wood for RC planes.

A few years ago during the covid lockdown all the pubs and bookies were closed so I downloaded the Paddy power app on my phone so I could do a bit of gambling. Soon it turned into a part time job when other people started coming to me to back horses, greyhounds, the lotto etc. had guys coming to me with a few hundred quid every few days that I had to lodge into my bank account and I had this big notebook to keep track.

Anyway this guy Texts me and says "how much have I left?"
Checks my book* "37euro"
"Put it on XYZ" ok

Also did the lotto for a girl that night.

So I wake up in the middle of the night after a drunken sleep and decide to check the balance on the Paddy power account. It was something like 3,700 euro. I checked the history and it turned out that I didn't put 37euro on the guys horse but 370euro.

Now remember when I said I did a girls lotto? Well she ended up winning 400.
If she didn't I wouldn't have had enough money to make my little mistake but if that horse lost I would have had to find 400 to pay her back but the horse did win so she got her 400. The guy got whatever money was coming to him and I bought a PS4 and some other shit and gambled and drank the rest.

Lockdown was eased shortly after and the bookies opened again so I gave up being a bookie

The best i could think of is getting my drivers license for bike and car.
Didnt had much luck in life.
Maybe the best is yet to come who knows.

Friends took me out one Bday, I was really enjoying the gig when I spied HER, dancing with a big smile on her face, 11 years ago, 9 years married 3 kids, thank you Metallica.

Cox engines aren't bad for planes, and most of the RC airplanes are still made out of wood. Usually balsa. But there's also a lot of carbon fiber enthusiasts out there.

Here's an OS engine commonly found in RC helicopters:

I can't begin to tell you how many friends I've made over the years at Metallica concerts. Cool to meet another fan!

I'm not very lucky but this is sorta close enough.
I was walking my dog when i saw a dude jogging. Waved and said, 'Good Morning!' to which he smiled with a frantic nod. When I started walking back home, a cop car pulled up and asked me if i had seen someone wearing grey sweatpants with tats.
Turns out, I said good morning to a fugitive and nothing bad happened to me! (Very anticlimactic, IK)

I had a 3some once. They were a 5 and 6, but you turn the lights off and its all right. One of them was a bisexual swinger and the other a lesbian. They owed me money.
