Would you record an accident or dead body?

Reject conformity, embrace cringe.
Two days ago there was a serious traffic accident near my home, 19 people harmed and 4 in critical condition. I could clearly hear all noises coming from rescue and police, they even used helicopter. At the time I didn't think it's anything serious, because I live between police and fire department, with two hospitals nearby. Sirens and yelling aren't anything special here. When I later found out what was going on, I kinda regretted not seeing it, but at the same time I know I wouldn't just go and stare at the mess like an Indian gawker. And I surely wouldn't record any victims.

That's why I'm curious, would people from 1st world countries openly record victims or bodies in such situation? I feel like it's really frowned upon and that's why we rarely see any footage from these countries. Am I right? Would you gawk and record when witnessing an accident?

I saw a good motorcycle accident about a month ago, I passed it on a Hwy frontage road and it happened seconds before I drove by👍😉 the first thing I thought of was getting a video and some.pics😂👍 I turned around and got back to the scene about 3 minutes after it happened and the police and fire was already there with fire checking out the bike rider. As I look around at the onlookers, maybe 10-12 people no one had a phone out talking video or pictures🤔😔👎 I felt I would be very inconsiderate and make.to much of a scene if I started taking pictures imo
On the other hand if I had gotten there before the cops and firemen got there I would definitely had taken pictures and videos😂😂👍

That was the time to take them. While he’s either being scraped off the road or before the blanket is put on him. Doesn’t matter if help is there

Had a old woman drop dead from cardiac arrest at the front-end at work couple months back, paramedics worked on her for 45 min. The thought to record the incident didn't cross my mind, that and all of the management was there. Did find it interesting that only the pajeet's were inconvenienced some complained they couldn't use the middle entrance and some just walked through the scene nonchalantly.

Depends how hopeless the situation.. or whether the person was close to me.
So no to family, friends or little ones..
And no if there's a chance I could help the person

Otherwise
Ofcourse... fs..
If the scene was gory or disturbing then I'm pretty sure I'd already be thinking about uploading it here 🤫🫤
And if I ever do lose the plot myself ill have that uploaded too, somehow.. some fucker will have to catch a live stream and rec it
(I left this note on my bedside table by the helium tank for the crisis team just incase... "and another which I wouldn't share, family stuff".. I have just crossed out the pin, incase any of you whizzes could do something with it lol)
I'd like to think they would have done so 😅
Unfortunately for you all, I think the worst of this episode passed, but I thought about you all, the site, and the content ✊️

I'd be willing to look like a goof so you fuckers can have some content 😂

On a serious note though... It's important to document, without it, people wouldn't truely understand the gravity of situation and how vigilant they should be of their surroundings. Especially, when their actions have consequences for others.

Generally, the shocking content leaves an impression and is more likely to modify behavior. When people have this mentality of 'nah, it won't happen to me, what are the chances' is when things can go haywire.

-no spam- good question. if it was a 'live from the scene of the incident' like a hit and run, i'd try and get pictures of the vehicle and/or perp. i don't think i'd get video or photograph the victim unless someone immediately comes up to do whatever with them (try and move them/desecrate them). if it was a random encounter with a corpse mid hike in the woods, i don't know. on one hand, i don't trust cops in the slightest, so part of me would want to take a few snaps of the scene/remains on the off chance someone fucks something up (idk what though, like their shoe brand or if their head was still attached to the body?).
on the other hand, i don't want to make them a spectacle. thinking about law enforcement coming and taking pictures of my rotten body after i died a clearly shitty death and have been sitting where they find me makes me feel gross. the ol' treat others how you want to be treated might come to power here, but like i said, ACAB. if i were to take pictures, i wouldn't post them anywhere. i'd probably just keep them on a usb drive and lock it in a box for safekeeping. i'm a firm believer in that it's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it, and i have just a weeee bit of a hero complex, so doing something monumentous such as making a cop look like a dipshit/corrupt is kind of a dream of mine lmao.

recently found a dead body in a river (i think, english isnt my first language) near to this area where a lot of people walk by it. i was in a boat at the time, right next to the body. I have a video but i cant post it unfortunately. Smell was definitely something new lol
