FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — Police in Fayetteville say a person was killed in a shooting on Sunday morning at a condo community off Cliffdale Road.
The shooting was reported just after 10:20 a.m. along the 600 block of Barton's Landing Place, according to a Fayetteville Police Department news release.
When officers arrived, they found a person with "multiple gunshots to the upper torso," police said. Barton's Landing is described as a gated community.
EMS units arrived and took the victim to a nearby hospital for treatment. However, the victim died at the hospital, police said.
Officers did not release any information about the victim, including gender.

To get in & out of the entire apartment community via a street entrance, park within, visit residents, there's usually a secuity check point at the entrance of the complex with a "gate" and that's why they're considered "gated communities."
The term is used pretty liberally. 🤷‍♀️
