On Sunday evening (December 28), a truck carrying straw overturned on the road on Nainital road. The Bolero was of the SDO of the Electricity Department. The driver of the SDO, Firsat, 54, was killed in the accident. A bike rider was injured in the accident.

With the help of a crane, the truck and the Bolero were removed from the road. The police have seized the body and sent it for a postmortem. The accident took place in front of the power station near the hill gate on Nainital Road. On Sunday evening, a straw-filled truck was trying to turn on the other side of Bilaspur.

Suddenly, a wheel of the truck climbed on the divider, due to which the driver lost control of it. The truck overturned on the Bolero passing by. A motorcyclist and another motorcyclist were injured in the accident. Following this incident, a large number of people assembled on the spot.

There was traffic jam on both sides. After getting information, police reached the spot. A fire brigade and ambulance also reached the spot. With the help of a crane, the Bolero car was pulled out under the truck. Following this, the truck was removed.

The Bolero was completely damaged. The police, with the help of locals, rescued the driver and then rushed him to the district hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. The deceased has been identified as Firsat, a resident of Gujar Tola in Ganj police station area.

According to the police, the driver of the Bolero of the SDO posted at the Khod power station of the Firsat Power Department was the driver. Police took possession of his body. After getting information about the incident, SP Vidya Sagar rushed to the spot. He inspected the opportunity.
