I made 100k this year, it's because I have 2 jobs (3 but ones under the table) and now they're trying to say I owe something like 3500, even though i paid them over $25k in taxes this year . Wtf, I think people who work over 40hrs but are in a higher tax bracket shouldn't be taxed like someone who makes 100+ an hour. I should have stuck with my under the table jobs. I will be pissed if we don't see some of that tariff money we were promised

It's impossible to get ahead. I read an article about how a person with 3 kids making minimum wage "makes more" than someone earning 85k in a year. With the food stamps, free medical, free internet and phones, section 8 vouchers etc. I was a teen mom but never qualified for anything but medicaid for a bit. I guess I should have shat out a couple more and not worked my ass off to get an education ( that I paid for too). Bullshitery

That’s true, it seem more beneficial to stay poor on paper than to become more successful. The more you make the more they take, with the added bonus of not qualifying for all those assistances bc you earn too much.

You are a trooper! And IMO very right in your sentiment you, as a people, should benefit from the tariffs, seeing as Trump promised to lower prices for groceries, among other things.

But right now, you as consumers are paying the added price, when you buy anything that's imported from China and soon several European countries. The country/US company that imports the goods, pay extra for the tariffs. They raise their prices through to consumers, i.e. you. The exporting country does not pay anything extra, so the whole punishment would be that the demand for European goods will decrease and US will start producing their own uhm, everything. It's been a year now, where the Americans are paying way too much and the government takes all that extra money for themselves.

Meanwhile your president is seriously endangering not only the peace and alliances formed in the last century, but also, trade agreements. This will mostly affect and harm the people in the States I'm afraid. And I am very sorry about that.
