First of all, I’m sorry you’re feeling this way. idk about anyone else but I do know how you feel. I’m great now but there were days and nights 4 years ago where the only thoughts that were keeping me here were my kiddos.
I’m all for you reaching out and getting clean and sober as your first step. Through that process you have a chance to reflect on a lot of stuff, but mostly to find out why you hurt yourself and what you can do - and not do - to avoid using again and to stay clean - one moment - and eventually one day at a time. After that, you’ll start over again and see everything in a whole beautiful new light. But you gotta go to AA/NA every day and call your sponsor when you feel like using again.
