My Daddy took his last breath today at 4:10PM CT.

My Sister sent me a video a him doing the Death Rattle breathing.

No, I won't share the video.

I responded telling her to play my voice recording for him


"I love you so much, Daddy. It's okay if you're scared. So are we, but you can let go. I love you so much, Daddy."

My Sister said that seconds after the voice message played, he took his last breath.

Im not sure what to do but I'm watching the sunset outta my window and I can hear is Mama Cass singing:

"Sweet Dreams Till Sunbeams Find You."

FR tho - Im gutted asf.

So ive experienced death of loved ones its sad but we all die at some point 🤷‍♂️ youll be alright eventually and at least ur old man isnt suffering no more 👍🏻

I wanna say that I as well, wish your dad Godspeed. I also send my deepest condolences to you. I have yet to bury my father, but I’ve witnessed grandparents, lifelong friends and my own child be put back into the Earth. There’s a stage where it gets easier. There are times it’s harder. But we are still here for the rest our survivors- we can’t put them through the same shit they been going through.

Hang in there, nubby friend. We may not be the ideal place to “talk to”. But we aren’t all consistent dickheads when we relate to things as such.

He passed so peacefully. After he heard me, he went quiet and he were moved on to his next destination.

Thank you. Everyone been real supportive and helpful. I just....I got to see my Daddy for the 1st time in 6 years this late April and he were diagnosed 2 weeks after. Its hit me but not fully hit me. It won't till I'm in Texas, and see my Family.

Well you know who you can and can’t talk to based off of this experience. I buried my first son on my birthday and it didn’t hit me fully until several days after. I understand the resilience to the reality.
