FN-FAL was the old G-1 in the German army until '59.

The pic at the begning is the Belgium / Brit made 7.62 SLR ( Self Loading Rifle ) used by Brit Forces untill the early 80s , when we changed to the 5.56 SA80 .

Ive fire the SLR Many many times .

A very accurate weapon with stopping power .

yet proved its lengh was a nightmare during House Clearences in Northern ireland ( Ulster ) .
