That was a different time for sure..... people were still working inside during the move..... today everything is so over regulated and permitted this couldn't be done..... it's a prime example how Americans and America have been infiltrated by evil animals who purposely limit mankind's abilities....
Had these evil forces been banished from this country there's really no telling how advanced we would be by now..... self limiting laws and regulations have destroyed this country and it's people...

Aside from the amazing engineering to move the building its also all the infrastructure. Its impressive to think about the power, nat gas, water & sewer but also all the connectivity given this was an major telephone exchange. Every subscriber/customer's line was a pair of copper wires. So 10,000 customers, 10,000 pairs of wires....plus all the additional lines required to connect this exchange to other exchanges to provide access to local and long distance markets.

And the wires led to hundreds of these mechanical/electric dialers.. we renewed the air condition for the Telekom in the '90s in Munich once; was a big hall full of these turning, clicking, and buzzing devices. Quite loud.. and warm, because the stuff was partly made of silver and needed constantly 26°C and a certain atmosphere/climate, one of the Telekom guys told me.
