i have to use Vaseline on my fingers when i do this one. (simple man)

Nah...go without the vaseline and build up the calluses on your fingers. When they get sore run them under cold water and leave things for a while. Next day play again and do same thing. Trick is to not let your right hand finger tips get soft - so no vaseline or skin lotion. I remember when I used to put Crazy Glue on my fingers and played till the skin broke.

I see.. now, ive heard about crazy glue, but i started to learn this part. song with heavy gage strings. Even now when i play it on lesser gage, it can hurt. Not so bad now just in the beginning.
