HAMILTON, Miss. (WCBI) – It’s all anyone is talking about today.

A viral video from a Hamilton daycare has devastated parents and horrified the community.

A cell phone video posted on multiple social media accounts shows adult daycare workers scaring toddlers.

The adult is wearing a mask from the movie Scream. You can hear and see the children screaming and crying.

WCBI is not airing the disturbing video because of the minor children involved, but we have to warn you, the following story may be distressing to some of our viewers.

Tonight, multiple agencies are investigating.

Videos showed children being chased by what they saw as a scary monster.

Instead, it was their daycare worker. The person that was supposed to keep them safe at Lil’ Blessings Daycare and Learning Center.

Now, parents are keeping their kids home after the viral video spread on Facebook like wildfire.

“We thought we knew these people, we’re from here. I can not communicate the words how I feel. I’m devastated for my baby,” said Alissa Hays, the mother of one of the children in the video.

Keegan and Alissa Hays saw the video of their daughter after another parent sent them the video to show what was going on at the facility.

Alissa Hays’ husband was one of the first parents to get their child after the video started circulating in the small Monroe County community.

“For this to happen was actually shocking on top of very angry. When something like that happens to your kid there are a lot of thoughts that run through your head,” Keegan Hays.

When Keegan Hays demanded answers he said some of the workers did not seem to take the matter seriously.

We talked to the daycare director who declined to do an on-camera interview. The daycare did release a statement on social media saying “the director was not aware that this happened but when it was made public the situation was taken care of people were fired. The director notified MSDH.”

Now, some parents are wanting to take legal action.

Right now, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office has not filed charges against anyone at the daycare in the investigation but Sheriff Kevin Crook urges patience.

“I understand people want retaliation or retribution or whatever they want. justice is really what they want. Not to do anything irrational and to take matters into their hands and go after some of these young people or whatever who they know is involved or the owner of the business that’s gonna get them in trouble, ” said Crook.

The big question is, will parents be sending them back if they reopen?

“Under different circumstances, full surveillance, better management, we would possibly consider just for the convenience of being here in Hamilton,” said Keegan Hays.

A spokesperson for the Mississippi State Department of Health says the matter is under investigation.

They’ll be okay.

Now why in tarnation didn't you post a Goddamned trigger warning?

"WCBI is not airing the disturbing video because of the minor children involved, but we have to warn you, the following story may be distressing to some of our viewers."

Analysis:

  1. Trigger warning to cover adults being scared by children being scared by scary adult.
  2. Minor Children, not 60 year old children of 90 year old parents, these kids are young... (tautology warning needed for me and probably Ward Cleaver as we just loath bad grammar...it scares us and scars us.)
  3. It's halloween for the love of Christ
  4. Children, normal children, like being scared.
  5. The staff that work there need to lay off the cannabis and ice.
  6. people need to loosen up a little...
  7. the counseling the little kiddies will receive will ensure they are scared for life
  8. the parents will take this to court and sue.
  9. no black kids were scared or scared...
  10. this kindergarten lacks diversity
  11. the black parents who have no kids there will organise a race riot peaceful protest march and then sue.
  12. Just to calm the farm, this is not a Thai kindy...

If that was my child being traumatized by that evil shit, I would sue the fuck out of everyone involved. Unfortunately, these days physical retaliation as in beating the shit out of everyone involved, is frowned upon and would result in getting arrested.

Utter bastard
Scaring the kids that you are supposed to be looking after is a pretty dumb move, filming it and posting it is even dumber ( unless the camera operator did it to out the morons in the masks )
Some of you might remember a daycare case from a number of years back when the staff made all the children fight each other ..
You really do have to have 100% trust in the people you pay to look after your children

20 years ago when my first child started 'day care' I said to the woman running it "If any one interferes with her I shall personally kill them."

it's OK Blood Sport, these days they'd be more likely to make the little boys apologise to the little girls for being male...

"Young teenage boys at a school in Victoria, Australia, were forced to stand up during an assembly and apologize to girls at the school on behalf of their gender.

Australian media outlet 7News reported that parents of male students at Brauer College in Warrnambool were outraged to learn about what their children were forced to do. One parent, Danielle Shephard, told the outlet that her 12-year-old son felt confused after he was forced to apologize.

“He said that he was made to stand up and basically apologize… it wasn’t explained properly to the male students what they were doing or why they were doing it,” Shephard told the outlet.

The exercise was conducted after more than a dozen students and parents at another school made accusations of sexual harassment and assault. Shephard said Brauer parents weren’t warned that an assembly on consent would take place or that boys would be forced to apologize to girls for something they personally had not done.

Brauer College Principal Jane Boyle told 7News that “n retrospect, while well-intended, we recognize that this part of the assembly was inappropriate.”"
