I have the same problem. About 3 hours a night for weeks until my body shuts down and I'll get 6-7 hours when it does. I attribute my sleep problems to my parting days when I would stay up for days, if not weeks drinking and doing other extracurriculars.I don't sleep. Its very weird. I can fall asleep fairly easily, i just cant stay that way. I get 2-3 broken hours a night, if I'm lucky. Every few months my body just shuts down and I basically go into a coma for 16-20 hours. Then it's back to constant insomnia. Working doesn't help, neither do medications. I gave up trying to "fix" it a long time ago.
Falling asleep isn't the problem staying asleep is. I average about 3 hours of broken sleep every night. No matter what I take . Drs are no help .I generally think about fighting a war, or being in a fight or killing someone that helps me fall asleep.
Do you fall asleep fast or does it take a while?
I’m going through a bit of a cold patch but that does NOT look like a beautiful woman. It's actually the thinking that keeps me from sleeping. So many beautiful women in this world.

You like, whisper sexy things to it, or what? What’s your foreplay technique?Having a fan turned on.
I have an 18 minute rain shower clip, with two low long rumbles in the distance, I just BT it from the PC to the stereo nice and low on infinite repeat all night! Only thing that wakes me up having to piss like a Russian draft horse....Need white noise like a fan. Usually just pass right out. I have pretty good biological clock and usually wake up before an alarm goes off.
Same here. i cant sleep with silence. if i cant turn on my fan for whatever bullshit reason i put music on.I have a desk fan which I put on when I get into bed, concentrating on listening to that ocillate rather than my random thoughts usually works for me.
I take TrazodoneI take Clonidine to sleep
Try tea brewed from the youngest bark you can scrape from a magnolia tree. Never would have believed it if I hadn't tried it. It also works as a natural painkiller similar to opiates.Falling asleep isn't the problem staying asleep is. I average about 3 hours of broken sleep every night. No matter what I take . Drs are no help .
