Whether 5 million died or 1 million...the Nazis were trying to exterminate those that did not believe in or fit into their ideologies. I get tired of hearing about the poor jews...many others died in the camps too. Why is it always about the Jewish faith? Catholics, gypsies, people with disabilities, and many others died in the holocaust. I only wish that others could see that many people were victims of the nazi regime.

Funny how a State doesn't consider you an adult until you are eighteen. That means no smoking, drinking, porn, and no voting. But, that same State will consider you an adult, so that they can slaughter you if you have committed a felony. Come on folks, he is either a child, or he is an adult...there is no in between!

They only try kids as adults under extenuating circumstances, do you know how many kids kill in America and get tried as kids and never even see an adult jail? thought not.

No child should be tried as an adult. Their brains are not yet fully developed...they can be easily influenced by their peers and have poor decision making skills, often leading them into trouble. It is our jobs as adults to guide them, not put them to death because they made a poor choice. Now, I am not saying that they shouldn't be punished, but their brains are still in the process of growing and they are able to learn from the poor decisions made earlier in life. By the way, Texas is famous not just for trying children as adults, but also putting to death those who are mentally deficient. Pretty sad when a State feels the need give the death penalty to a man that spends his days coloring and looking at comic books that he is unable to read. He had a IQ of 61, and sucked his thumb as an adult.

I guess I am just one of those dope smoking, long-haired hippies that believes that you don't kill people that kill people to show people that killing people is wrong...it contradicts logic! Oh, and by the way, I didn't say that a child should be released at 18 years of age...they need rehabilitation, and that will certainly take more than a few years. I simply do not believe in the death penalty...especially as far as children are concerned.

Don't sweat it. You and I agree on one thing, they need more rehabilitation and more time to think about the harm they have caused to others. A few years isn't long enough. I just can't justify taking another's life...it lowers me to their level, and that is a place I don't want to go. Peace

Duh...I am more than aware of what you were implying. I was trying to get that point across in a polite manner...just didn't want to stoop to your level. I have tried to find common ground with you. However, you do not care to meet me on a level playing field and have resorted to belittlement (in other word, you don't play nice with others). I feel no need to continue this conversation.

I think I already expressed my view...they need to be locked up and rehabilitated until such time that they are no longer a danger...just don't agree with the death penalty.
