In January yes but nobody died and it's unlikely they just went and bought it in a shop.
Farmers, range enthusiasts, gangsta's and the odd psycho have guns here, not everyone.

I think the coworkers were in on it. Notice they stand and block the doorway preventing the guy to flee.

They sure didn't seem to care when he got whacked, in fact one of the coworkers even helped the shooter escape through the window.
