HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The Houston Police Department has detained three persons of interest in connection to a shooting where a 17-year-old Aldine ISD student was shot and killed outside a McDonald's in north Houston on Thursday.
The Houston Police Department confirmed the deadly shooting happened on 185 West Road near the North Freeway just after 3 p.m.
Dustin Garza and his sister couldn't believe what they saw. Expecting a fight, they saw a teen shot to death right in front of them.
"We were just in line at McDonald's," Garza said. "He didn't deserve to get shot."
Cell phone video captured the shooting. Afterward, the suspect's truck, described as a late model red Dodge Ram 1500, took off, appearing to run over the victim.
"You never know when it's going to be your last day. That's the scary part," Garza said.
According to HPD, it was the culmination of two days of confrontations that started at a soccer game on Wednesday night. The two groups of teens are believed to be all students at Aldine High School, police said.
On Wednesday night, one group flashed a gun at the other, HPD said. Thursday after school, they were across the street at neighboring fast food restaurants when the video shows the victim and his friends approach the shooter's truck as it sat in the drive-thru line at McDonald's waiting on an order. The victim reaches in the truck, the video shows, and was shot.
HPD confirmed the 17-year-old victim died at the scene. His name has not been released.
By 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, HPD had three persons of interest detained after they stopped a car related to the shooter's truck at Tidwell and N. Wayside in northeast Houston.
Earlier, grieving family members and Aldine ISD administrators responded to the scene of the deadly shooting.
Aldine ISD sent the following statement.
"Aldine ISD has become aware of a shooting that took place off campus after school. During this incident, an Aldine student was fatally injured. The safety and security of Aldine ISD's students and staff will always be our top priority. As such, an investigation is underway."

Goodbye wetback

These are beaners, they get into shootings all the time here in Texas, I see bullet holes in their trucks regularly they're always shooting at each other, can't wait til these assholes get deported, all these fuckin anchor babies are gonna get sent back to their shit hole soon.

I really want to ask why everyone in the video has dark skin?
Does this video take place in an African country or in France?
After all, France has always maintained the habit of collecting people of all skin colors.

I kinda wonder why different people are attracted to Gore sites. I like to read true crime and watch gory movies. I can think of various reasons different people are attracted. I've been in several situations where I was right there around the gore or very scary situations. I've always been calm and focused I don't panic. As a child I remember seeing a photo album that someone brought over to show my brother. The dude was a crime/accident scene photographer. My bro and the other dude were laughing at people with their brains all over the road. There were some of dead children, elders and it traumatized me but I also feel by being exposed to stuff like that it prepared me for various real life gory situations. Also as a child about 6 I was in a car with parents and slowly went around a car accident. There was a child under the tire of the car. I am pretty sure he was dead. The thing I got upset about was that the tire was on his neck and chest but face looked out towards road. The driver was a huge woman and was just sitting in the car crying her eyes out. I just kept thinking she was an idiot bc her weight was probably around 350-400lbs. He didn't need the extra weight on top of him. I now realize he was 99% dead but anger came across my thoughts. I thought I really hate that lady. Due to many years of trauma I grew up with gallows humor. It affected a lot of my life. I am always wondering why there is so much hate speech and racism in the comments on these posts. I've always thought people who have to call people racist terms are not very intelligent and they let there emotions get ahold of them and only know how to react to these photos. I know my interest is a way of preparing myself to deal with anything that might be come my way. I think once I have a pretty good understanding of how others minds work I will get over the need to look at these pictures and put them in a filing cabinet in my head and file it away where I keep all the other things I have been through but not need on a conscious level but it will be there if I ever need to face one of these horrible situations. The book" Gift of fear" has really helped me file all my other things that run through my thoughts instead I organize them and file them away. Anyone want to explain what draws them to shock sites.
