Training a pilot on a platform takes at least 1 year. Training so that he is considered to have experience on that platform is no less than 3 years. It is not difficult to fly a combat aircraft, in fact, it is easier than flying many civil aircraft, the difficult thing is knowing how to use it efficiently as a military platform, and the latter takes years. Not just a couple of months...

Regarding the Russian pilots:
- Russian pilots do have a lot of experience, they have been flying their machines for years and they also have combat experience.
- If the Russian pilots can do what they did with this F35 ( theoretically "stealth" ) imagine what they can do against an F16 :

Here's another look at this 'said' encounter, the Su-30's id matches, the thing that stands out for me is that if this pilot was so shit scared of this encounter he had no business being in the cockpit & if an important avionics system failed, you would bug out, the vid says something very different, from what I have read there were 2 F-35's sent up to investigate the initial aircraft as it was on NATO radar, the Su-30 would have been 'seen' by NATO radar & the 2nd F-35 (if there), even so, NATO would have radioed any NATO aircraft on this flight of the Su-30 approach, just watch how the F-35 pulls in behind the greater threat, does not look like he's 'shitting' himself.
