It is called 'landing gear', not 'takeoff gear'. I can see how somebody might be confused about that. Simple rookie mistake.

That’s an old Navy trainer called a T-34. Awesome airplane. About $140-$250K in good condition. This guy missed something when looking at his nose gear. The prop and engine inspection and repairs are going to set his insurance company back $30-$60K…

Better there than when landing but still a dumb move. He could have seen the drag link bolt was missing if he had looked…

It’s a Beechcraft. Their airplanes are awesome it’s the idiots flying them that deserve all the credit for ficking them up.
