Nice closeup, I don't know which is Egger1 and which is Egger2...
I do know they were laid three days apart, but will hatch close in time together, roughly 40 days from now.

YIPPEEEEEEEEEEE

Hurrican Ian didn't knock the old snap pine over, but the nest was blown away.

Harriet and M15 built it back from scratch, one stick at a time, together... ♡

Just a couple shots of them bringing in huge sticks to rebuild the nest after Ian. Amazing determination these two have.

:whoa:Harriet accidently flipped E21 out of the bowl during the night while she was aerating. Little goober went nearly to the crib rail, and it was in the high forties last night. Doesn't take long for a wee 3 day old to freeze in those temps as they can't regulate their temps yet. Eagles can't see in the dark like owls can, so it took her a few minutes to find E21 and roll her back into the bowl safe and sound and warm.

E21 is the blue dot and squeeing away. Harriet notices something isn't right and starts looking.

Ok, this post is tough to type...

Harriet has been missing from the nest since the 2nd of February. She hasn't been seen on the cams or by people out looking for her. Something really, really bad has happened to her. There's no way she would leave M15 and her babies willingly. This is absolutely heartbreaking news. M15 is doing double duty with the babes by himself. He packed the nest today bringing in 3 fish and a rabbit, chased off an intruder that landed it the top of the nest tree, kept watch over his little ones. They are extremely vulnerable being so young with only one parent. He's a good Dad though, Harriet taught him well.
I wonder if he knows where she is and that she won't be coming back...
Ummm, I had more to say but I'm crying now.

Oh my...
An intruder has zeroed in on M15 and the babes, still no sign of Lovely Harriet. They are growing fast, but no match for an adult, this is an adult for sure. Can't tell if it's a female or male, it's damn bold to say the least.
M protects the nest.
Intruder at the 10:28 mark.
FUCK

Good job M

ARSELING
How quiet the little ones were crouched down during the intruder was in the nest. But no signs of panic or so.
What might the other eagle have wanted? Do they steal each other's food? Or worse, prey on the eaglets?

Sad to read that about Harriet. Can the eaglets survive with only one parent? Protection, food.. all done by one. Hard times in the eagles' nest. :(
