Serious Gruesome questions for doctors or medical field workers

Aight, first post excuse the awkwardness, Im a dyslexia tard i need my paragraphs far apart.

I've always had a lot of gruesome injury related questions and general stuff I'd love getting medical answers to, and I've seen quite a people claiming to be doctors here, so I'd like to hear some of your opinions on those

>If i were to slash the flexor tendons on my wrist and the Achilles tendon and let those heal, realistically, how much motion would I even retain? Would my fingers be permanently outstretched? Would I be able to stand without support?

>Have you ever seen or removed a teratoma? What features did it have?

>Have you ever treated anyone who attempted some kind of botched self surgery?

>How often do people actually come into the ER with random shit stuck up their ass?

If you have any fucked up or funny stories you'd like to share I'd love to hear them.

I grew up around morgues due to my family's jobs, so stories from coroners are very welcome as well. (>Have you found living people to smell worse than corpses? (>I heard that a lot from my family. They say people have that rancid acidic reek of piss /especially homeless junkies/, but dead bodies just smell of rot, do you agree?)

The Achilles tendon is one.of the largest tendons you have. You'd need surgery most of the time to heal it. Both of those tendons would NOT heal on their own. You'd have major problems if you let them tbh in.MY opinion

Wife said she had to do it to a gay male one day and there ended up not being anything wrong with him. I got her out of the ER after that. Learned 90% of ER visits were mental illness.

I can answer the "botched surgery" question. Two years ago we had an individual who had pretty severe mental illness and was convinced that they had been abducted and that they had been implanted with various devices. They had been using razors, isopropyl alcohol and dental floss to open (and then close} deep wounds on their arms, legs and torso. From what we understand, they had been doing this for almost a full year. What got them in front of us was a cavity that they had opened a few inches below their sternum. I could literally insert both of my hands into the wound, up to my wrists. We had to keep them heavily medicated and restrained for almost the entire length of the healing process as they were super combative. From what I understand, they were discharged from our care to a long term facility a few months ago.

Yup. People love shoving things up their asses and a large portion of them are too stupid to give themselves a way to extract it. There are also a lot of people who intentionally get things stuck in their ass. They like the "attention" afterwards.
