Serious Has Gore Gotten Easier Or Harder To Watch Over Time?

Do you think you will ever grow out of watching gore?

Has it gotten harder or easier to watch over time?

I was introduced to gore when I was about 10 or 11. The first video I ever watched was the famous Mexican cartel chainsaw beheading. I can’t recall who showed me the video possibly an older brother of a friend. Anyways, I started really watching gore when I was about 15 with my friend and we would watch videos in our high school math class and show other kids and laugh at their reactions. This was at the time when bestgore was our go to site. I’ve never been able to handle knife videos of people getting slashed or cut and definitely no animals but anything else I can usually handle. But over time I feel like I’m starting to feel like these people I’m watching getting murdered aren’t even people if that makes sense. There’s no way if I was to get my head chopped off I’m ever being at rest. It’s like when your best friend dies for instance, you expect them to go to heaven or be at peace. That’s what these people being murdered parents are expecting lol. It kinda blows my mind. Backtrack to the story I’m now 22 and I feel like when I was younger It was lowkey easier to watch gore. I don’t think I’ll ever quit watching it as I like seeing what goes on in the real world but I feel like my view has changed.. man I’m high. Time to go watch some more videos.
It has gotten boring.... ALWAYS dull blade's and wasting ammo after they are dead....

gotten easier to the point of entertaining. Prime example when a dude gets his head/limb(s) chomped on when sticking in the croc/alligator.

I just came here to look for the George Floyd " I kaynt breav" video. Never found it.

But there was plenty of other entertainment here...

My only complaint about this site: they repeat videos too often. And they don't show enough Hillbilly Appalachian inbreds fighting 😆. It's mostly inner city stuff....not too much rural

It's so much easier. The only sequences that managed to make me wince were the animal cruelty scenes, otherwise it's a good laugh.

Then you can still be young because it's an old but classic video
Why do you watch such videos at all when you're 10? You'll get a personality disorder
There's never any point, there's no point in murder, only when the last word doesn't count
Look, everyone had a loving mother and father, just like you, and no one is born to be murdered in a dirty way by others for various reasons
Although in some cases, those involved are aware that their work will eventually mean their death, but they still take on the job
Of course, it gets easier to watch gore videos over time: even for serial killers, only the first few victims are the hard work, and then they get more and more into killing in general
It doesn't hurt to know what's happening in reality and to see it, but you shouldn't overdo watching gore videos, it's not healthy mentally

it has gotten easier, but there's a threshold on it, there's definitely some fucked up videos I have seen that impacted me for a while,

keep in mind that i am an avid gore watcher

easier, but sometimes i still have nightmares about the things I've watched. people dying, burning alive, jumping from buildings, yeah, i
've had enou8gh for right now.

No kids, and few women..
Can watch basically anything else with absolutely no even remote.. feeling whatsoever. Other than maybe "wow" "that was awful" "oh that's fucked"
Basically.. mild excitement like watching a race or a fight or something.

There's always the odd one that stands out as particularly grim.. but generally speaking unless a video contains children I can watch anything these days, passive viewing. Even then sometimes I could be so disinterested as to barely notice what I've watched.. just gore flick #25000, this time it's grainy.

The Russian compilations recently had sorta rape footage in them so I couldn't watch those 😑 they dig a bit deep.
And any extreme domestic abuse but i couldn't name an example, I generally don't like but could watch, will make my blood boil though.
Aaand anything with kids I wont look at, just incase it sets off some sort of angry response.

Absolutely anything else though had gotten easier within probably a year of watching gore stuff... first flick was the chechen beheading, always stuck with me with the audio... then maybe another few from the same period/area/war. Then a classic pic of a guy who looks like sid after blowing his head off. Then 3 guys 1 hammer.. and from then easy riding really
By the time you've seen all the isis videos, all the cartel nasties, and a bunch of necklacing burned alive lynching... things lose their impact a bit.

I do think I (and most people) will grow out of it at some point tho I don't see a problem with watching gore even at an older age

Definitely has gotten easier. I don't like seeing people get cut and stabbed. I'll never get used to that.

Its more the comradery that I find here. It's more across the tracks, down by the jukejoint type folks I find solace with. Not really gore but the TRUTH OVER ALL ELSE. Well, maybe cheap drugs, too. But not AS BAD as before.

For easier... Some things get old and boring. I can't stand seeing motorcycle accidents or chopping off heads those are so cliche...

I only watch to make sure I stay keenly aware of what is going on in the world, I tend to like to believe people are good in general, and need constant reminders as to the magnitude of which that isn't the case.

I read comments before I hit play, and when I do, my hand is on the mouse, ready to pause. No, it has not gotten easier for me.
