Yes. Quite. Although I think the only similarity to that is that he was a cunt.
But he had:
- a huge heart
- was trying to turn his life around
- would indicate before changing lanes
- was well-liked
- had developed a strong focus on spirituality and a healthy lifestyle
- and was "proud" to be turning his life around.
- "He was an open book."
So, in effect, he was innocent of all charges and it was the fault of the police, as is indicated by the comment: "Ms Caldwell told the court the inquest would examine whether it was reasonable and appropriate for police to begin and continue the pursuit, and to use tyre spikes."
Which will no doubt be thought of by cops when next time they're seeing a methed up junkie driving up the bike paths... 'What do you reckon Pete? Chase him?" 'No Sam, fuck that, it will only threaten our careers... the cunt's probably applying for the church choir even as we speak...'
Note the word 'proud'. It can be applied to everything except your country these days. And is especially applicable and admirable with regard to taking it up the arse, as in Pride Week...
