Malaysia, the accident involved a Modenas Kriss motorcycle, a green carrier lorry and a Honda Jazz car.
The lorry driver was already in the construction site area with the lorry he was driving to refuel the brakes. During the process of refueling the brakes, the lorry suddenly moved in reverse on its own and crashed into the security gate.
The lorry then entered the main road and hit a motorcycle which lost control as it tried to avoid the lorry and the victim fell and was crushed under the right rear tyre. The rider was confirmed dead at the scene of the accident.
Also a driver of the car, a man who was passing through the main road, was also involved in the accident and sustained a cut on his forehead.
The lorry driver was detained for further investigation and the case is being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act (RTA) 1987.
