It could be explained by the extreme pain, shock and then fall from the roof. Like a super extreme “what the fuck just happened?” effect.

However, looking at the burns visible on the side of his face, he had the current travelling through his head. This would lead to seizure activity, and after a seizure people are confused for a while (called post ictal state). Add to this the likely thermal damage to his brain, and you get the retard we all see and chuckle at. This is more likely than just emotional shock.
