Lawsuit claims police chief defecated on floors, tried to drug coworkers...

A Hudson County police chief is accused of assaulting and harassing his staff. Five police officers with the North Bergen Police Department say they plan to sue due to the behavior of Chief Robert Farley. The officers claim Chief Farley has acted in bizarre fashion doing outlandish acts in and out of the police station. They say Farley defecated on floors, exposed himself and attempted to drug coworkers, among other incidents. Attorneys Patrick and Matthew Toscano represent the five North Bergen officers. Patrick Toscano says he hopes to see the state attorney general remove the police chief from his position sooner than later. The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office says it is aware of the allegations and referred all questions to the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General. A spokesperson for the attorney general said that the office could not confirm or deny an investigation. The North Bergen mayor’s office has yet to comment. As of today, four of the officers continue to work along with the police chief.
