Oh no! Old buddy of mine lost his kid....

Just found out today that an old friend of mine since Middle school, his little 11 year old boy was killed in a car crash this past Sunday... :(

I been out of the loop, working. Another one of our mutual friends asked if I was going to the funeral. I was like: "what funeral?"

He said Hunter's!

I'm all like: "what.....!?"

It even made the local news.

This was the coolest little kid you'd ever meet. I literally was just over at their place for a super bowl party last month. I loved that kid! He was everyone's favorite little buddy.... Wtf....?

Why would you even post this, and here?

Yeah weird to post here, but if you're looking for support from some community, sorry to hear about that. It's always horrible when kids are lost, especially to complete accidents. Be there for your friends and be supportive bro, it's horrible and nobody should go thru it alone

That’s an emotional situation. I understand it being posted here. This is generally a supportive forum full of people who understand the situation with a unique knowledge base due to our shared interest in the morbid side of being human.

Sharing shit like this to understanding peers helps. It prevents the harmful build up of emotions which if left in can lead to a bit of a mind melt.

@C U Next Tuesday gave excellent advice. I have no problems if you need to off load here or via PM. Take care and I hope you are okay.

Well, that was a whole lot of nothing, should have started it's own thread instead of hijacking someone else's. Mental issues need to be addressed asap.

So sorry to hear this. When children are lost it really makes one wonder what's wrong with the world. Hopefully your friend and his family are holding up ok. I can't even imagine what they are going through.
Yeah, I spoke to my friend over the phone. His wife is completely lost. And my jerk off of an employer doesn't consider it "close family," and me asking off for Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday will not be excused, even as they gave their condolences in the same breath.

The only other time I've ever felt this way, was with the loss of my twin brother when I was 14 in a car wreck. Also, Newtown CT. That just made me ill.

My dad? My grand parents? Even another old friend of mine that passed away from COVID this past fall. It's not the same as a kid.

RIP kid. Also Lost my brother in a car accident when he was 12 I was 14 . I was also in the vehicle but uninjured. It's what started me to question the whole god/religion thing. I never accepted the "he's in a better place now"
I'm on the Same Page Bro!

Exactly! I was in the same car with my twin as well. My older cousin driving, older brother in the front passenger seat (both were 18), my twin brother behind my cuz, and me behind our older brother. We all got out unscathed, including the drunken retard that only served 3 years in prison. My twin got out as well seemingly unscathed, but he was hemmouraging. Brain hemmourage. Didn't take long for him to succumb to that once he climbed out of my door on my side....

I stopped believing in those hocus-pocus feel-good God thing after that. Not that I truly believed in it before it, but this was the proverbial nail in the coffin, so to speak

Damn! Very similar to mine. My older cousin was driving, my older brother in the front passenger seat, my younger brother (RIP) between them. He died immediately. We hit a cow at night in the rural countryside

Weird ass coincidence!

Here in PA, farmers are allowed to have their animals all over the damn road, and can even sue you for hitting one of them!

I found that out after nearly hitting two random-ass horses. In the middle of a road. Completely by themselves. With blinders on! Almost hit them with a company truck, and was told by one of my bosses to be careful. The farmers can sue for that shit.
