At 7:58 AM on May 12, 2025, Liu Mou (female, 58 years old), while driving a small car on Binhu East Road in Ezhou City, due to improper operation, drove into the non-motorized vehicle lane, causing 1 death and 2 injuries. Liu Mou was immediately taken into custody by public security authorities, and the injured were promptly sent to the hospital for treatment. On the same day, Liu Mou was criminally detained in accordance with the law on suspicion of causing a traffic accident. Tests ruled out drunk driving and drug driving. The accident is under further investigation and handling.
