disaster Paki hit by falling sign

A tragic incident occurred during a severe storm, where a heavy shop signboard fell on a passerby, resulting in his immediate death.

According to eyewitnesses, around 5 PM, the storm's intensity suddenly increased, and a heavy signboard from a shop in a well-known commercial area could not withstand the strong gusts of wind, causing it to fall uncontrollably.

Coincidentally, a young man was passing by on the road at the same time, and the heavy signboard fell directly on him. Nearby people rushed to assist the victim and informed Rescue 1122, but by the time the rescue team arrived, the young man had already passed away.

Rescue officials confirmed that the victim died on the spot, and a preliminary medical examination revealed deep head injuries and severe rib fractures.

According to the Meteorological Department, a series of rain and strong winds began in Lahore after 5 PM on Sunday, with wind speeds recorded between 70 to 80 kilometres per hour.
