That officer is in need of a lot of additional training. In what world is it reasonable to allow someone to start a chainsaw so that he has the ability to use it on nearby, largely immobile bystanders? No fucking way. The officer should have immediately tased the subject. Allowing him to start/try to start a chainsaw is akin to letting him put bullets in a gun. The offender posed an immediate threat of death or great bodily harm to everyone around him. And in the end, the officer is very lucky his taser was effective. Still, if my parent was there sitting in a wheelchair and the offender managed to injure them with that chainsaw, I would OWN that city and the officer for life.
