Motorcyclist fails to notice truck, goes straight at intersection and ends up dead in Chapecó
A serious traffic accident recorded in the early hours of this Sunday (7) resulted in the death of a man and left another in serious condition in Chapecó (SC). The images of the impact were released and show the violence of the collision, which involved a motorcycle and a truck on Avenida General Osório, corner of Avenida São Pedro. According to the 6th Military Fire Battalion, the incident was responded to around 12:59 a.m. At the scene, first responders found the two occupants of the Honda CG 125 Titan motorcycle lying on the road. The fatal victim was identified as Ari Rodriguez, 50, who was already showing no vital signs and suffering from multiple injuries. The other man, also an adult, suffered head trauma and a fractured lower limb. He received first aid, was intubated by the SAMU team, and was taken to the Western Regional Hospital in critical condition.
The truck driver was uninjured. The Military Police controlled traffic and contacted the Civil Police and the General Institute of Forensic Science (IGP) for legal action. After the forensic investigation, firefighters cleared the road, restoring traffic.
The case mobilized several security and health forces during the early hours of the morning and caused great commotion in the city due to the severity of the incident.
