I did my apprenticeship years ago at a welding shop (never ended up becoming a welder, but that's another story) and we welded what they called a "new brass arsehole" onto the back of a septic-tank pumping truck. After cutting the old arsehole out, if course.

The thickness of liquified feces likely creates a superior fire fighting material than just water alone. On the other hand any pockets of dissolved gas within that slurry would likely ignite and add to the fire's intensity. In any case the sewer truck operator got to play fireman, and that's the true success story of this encounter.
