She’s not trying to get the adult to cook it. She trying to save the chicken from being slaughtered by taking it with her into her room. Notice how she’s holding the chicken with care as if she would a puppy.

How is she a monster you don't eat chickens
Doctor doesn't allow me to eat chicken. On a strict fish and vegetable diet. And she shouldn't want to eat something that is clearly a pet or being used for eggs.
