Are these coffins in raised tombs like in New Orleans, or are they buried six feet deep? Because I know at least around here, coffins are buried (unless you have the money for a crypt), but they are buried inside a concrete block that is sealed. I don't see anything rising from that, and those coffins don't look old enough to be before they started using concrete casings. Maybe someone was skimping some money and just burying them in the dirt instead?

I'd generally leave the dead alone, but if I noticed a coffin was from a particularly rich fuck, and it was just floating there, I'd probably open it up and see if there was some very expensive jewelry or coins lying around..
