Two young Kanwariyas, residents of village Rukhi of Bugrasi police station area, died after coming in contact with high tension current in Hapur district. On Wednesday, the Kanwariyas left for Haridwar in a canter to get the Dak Kanwar. Two Kanwariyas sitting on top of the vehicle came in contact with the current of the HT line on the Garh-Bulandshahr State Highway. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot, took the body in their custody and sent it for postmortem. There was chaos among the family members who reached on receiving the information.
After the death of 55-year-old Omprakash of the town area while bringing the Kanwar on Tuesday, on Wednesday again two Kanwariyas of the area died due to electric shock. Gopi Pal (23 years) and Lalit Pal (22 years), residents of village Rukhi, were going to Haridwar with their friends to get the Dak Kanwar like every year on Wednesday. It was told that both the youths were sitting on the DJ installed in the canter. During this, the canter was stopped near Daharakuti in Bahadurgarh police station of Hapur for some work and the driver started backing the canter. Meanwhile, the youth sitting on the music system installed on the canter touched the 11000 volt high tension line and got badly burnt. Due to which both the pilgrims died on the spot. Police reached the spot after getting the information and took the bodies in their custody and sent them for postmortem.
