The end might come sooner than that with all of Prigozhin's complaints that the Kremlin is leaving them out to dry with lack of ammo, no answering calls for air support, throwing them into the grinder, etc. and now his recent statement that he wants to run for office as Ukraine's President in the 2024 elections. He also states that by not adequately supplying his mercenaries (resulting in heavy casualties) that in the event that Bakhmut is lost, Putin will simply blame them, not the Russian Armed Forces. A crazy turn of events...

It hasn't been captured and the Russian regular units are getting/retreating their asses out of there (confirmed by the Russian MoD), leaving the flanks of the "military convicts" wide open - setting the stage for those convicts entering a mouse-trap. Btw, wtf is a military convict? A rapist or murderer who was given a gun and sent into a combat meat-grinder in another country where he can die?

The cool thing for Russia is that those military convicts who manage to survive and live to the end of their 6 month contract with Wagner will soon be back walking the streets of wherever they were from, Siberia, Moscow, Belgorod, etc. They'll just become military civilians at that point before they convert back into military convicts, but convicts back in prison.
