Hey I love weed as much as the next guy, but I doubt anyone would make it their goal in life to be an unemployed loser with a methadone prescription. I could be wrong tho of course!
Methadone ain't actually that bad it's more enjoyable than heroin imo, I'd still rather be high but you could even say that about having a pizza sometimes too.

Tell you what you can't beat tho.....weed and sexy time. One of the very greatest moments of my life took place when I splooged into the Mrs while extremely high. It's like I had an out of body experience. There was music and colours everywhere.

I very rarely smoke it. My mate randomly decided to grow some so I bought some off him. It's the only time I've ever smoked it with the Mrs, that's why it lives long in the memory.

For a legal light/easy opioid-like high I'd prefer codeine. Your metabolism changes it to good ol' morphine internally and it feels right.

Heroin more often than not made me vomit McM, I think it was the lemon juice or vinegar we used to break it down you could taste taste the fucker all day, I haven't had methadone that many times but I do remember enjoying it, heroin obviously got me more fucked up but I don't remember it fondly at all, the vomiting, losing some friends to it and others trust because of it, my mam found marks on my arms after finding a syringe wrapper in my room and she had to pick me up from the hospital when I O.D'd because I had a broken leg and by that time no real friends left, she was so fucking disappointed in me 😔 Discovering smack made 1999 a real fucking shitshow, I didn't socialise with my real friends again until 2002.But why? You meant the 'whole picture' with all the consequences of using H, and all the social drawbacks and difficulties one can have in this situation. That's understandable if your aim is to lead a 'normal' life with work and friends and family. It definitely doesn't fit together, that's right.
I'm always horrified when listening to hardcore junkies (high as fuck) dreaming and talking about having a job, a house, and 4 children + a wife 'one day' but don't get it managed to do at least one single try of a detox/therapy/whatever. "100% next year, I swear!" And it's quite easy in Germany to get a place in a clinic (for free).
The 'explosive' barfing is at least a sign that the stuff is not too bad and happens only at the beginning of your 'career'; after some weeks it should go away.
It's your body fighting against the poison for the first time. A bit like the thirst you have at night after heavy drinking.

I know what you mean but for producing H a VERY strong vinegar acid is used in the laboratory. Good dope has always a sour smell and taste and this can be a sign of quality.
Or the stuff was just cut with shitty ascorbic acid from the drugstore
